Field day in Uyuni strengthens the adoption of regenerative practices in the production of Royal Quinoa

On March 6, 2026, in the communities of Chita and Chacala, in the municipality of Uyuni, A field demonstration day was held as part of the project "Sustainable growth of MSMEs working with Royal Quinoa in Bolivia, through regenerative agriculture and a circular economy.".
The event brought together 127 participants, Among producers, technicians and actors in the sector, who participated in a practical space aimed at strengthening knowledge about circular economy and regenerative agriculture practices, with a view to organic certification processes and improvement of productive sustainability.
Unlike traditional training spaces, lThe demonstration days in the field allow a direct transfer of knowledge, where producers can observe, analyze, and apply practices under real-world conditions. During the day, demonstrations were held on productive plots, addressing topics such as the use of agricultural waste, sustainable soil management, and the implementation of regenerative practices adapted to the highland context.
One of the most relevant aspects of the activity was the active participation of leading producers, who shared their experiences in the implementation of these practices, generating a horizontal learning process that strengthens the appropriation of knowledge and facilitates its replication in other production units.
These types of practical spaces are fundamental to promoting the transition towards more sustainable agri-food systems, as they allow to shorten the gap between theory and practice, promoting the effective adoption of technical innovations and the strengthening of local capacities. Likewise, field days contribute to consolidating collaborative networks between producers, technicians and institutions, strengthening the value chain of Royal Quinoa from a focus on sustainability, resilience and competitiveness.
