AL-INVEST Verde promotes progress in the sustainable production of Royal Quinoa in Bolivia

AL-INVEST Verde expands its reach in Bolivia: more than 6,000 MSMEs and 37 events promote the sustainable production of Royal Quinoa

Within the framework of the program AL-INVEST Green, Significant progress has been made in the transition towards more sustainable production systems in the Royal Quinoa value chain in Bolivia. During the administrations 2025 and 2026, A broad territorial deployment was developed aimed at strengthening the capacities of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), promoting regenerative agriculture practices and circular economy principles.

During this period, the following took place more than 37 events At the national level, these activities included field demonstration days, specialized workshops, on-site technical studies, agricultural fairs, scientific congresses, innovation days, international symposia, and virtual training spaces. These actions promoted practices such as reduced soil tillage, the use of cover crops, increased organic matter, agroecological pest management, and the incorporation of sustainable solutions into production systems, contributing to improved climate resilience and competitiveness in the sector.

2025–2026 Results in Figures:


✔ More than 37 events held nationwide.


✔ Activities in La Paz, Oruro, Potosí, Chuquisaca, Cochabamba and Camargo.


✔ Participation in trade fairs, congresses, symposia and technology transfer spaces.


✔ More than 6,000 MSMEs reached in face-to-face and virtual spaces.

The activities took place in different regions of the country, reaching producers of La Paz, Oruro, Potosí, Chuquisaca, Cochabamba and Camargo, consolidating a strategic territorial intervention in key areas of Royal Quinoa production.

One of the central elements of this process has been the work of a multidisciplinary technical team, which has permanently supported the implementation of regenerative practices, capacity building and knowledge transfer to producing MSMEs.

As a result of these actions, it was possible to reach more than 6,000 MSMEs in both in-person and virtual spaces, strengthening the dissemination of productive innovations and promoting a more sustainable and competitive development model. These advances reflect the program's commitment AL-INVEST Green with the transition towards greener, more inclusive and resilient economies in Latin America.

The program is funded by the European Union And in Bolivia it is implemented through a consortium led by sequa gGmbH, along with Impacto Positivo en la Comunidad (IPC), Trívium and the PROINPA Foundation.
