Webinar on sustainable management of Royal Quinoa brings together more than 900 participants from different countries

With 933 participants registered from different countries, the last April 7, 2026 The webinar “Sustainable Management of Royal Quinoa” was held, a virtual space that brought together farmers, producers, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), researchers, and specialists linked to the quinoa value chain. The event, held virtually, demonstrated the growing interest in regenerative agriculture and sustainable production, with a majority of participants from Bolivia (96.21%), as well as attendees from other countries in the region, which allowed for an exchange enriched by diverse experiences and agricultural production contexts.

During the day, a space for technical dialogue was created, focused on strengthening capacities related to the sustainable production of quinoa, adaptation to climate change, and the implementation of regenerative practices in the Bolivian highlands. Participation was active throughout the session, with a constant flow of questions, comments, and contributions that enriched the exchange between presenters and attendees.

The webinar featured the participation of leading specialists from academic institutions such as the Autonomous University Tomás Frías, the Technical University of Oruro, the Public University of El Alto and the Higher University of San Andrés, who addressed key topics such as soil fertility, organic fertilization, macronutrient management, the circular economy, quinoa marketing and the resilience of production systems to climate change.

Experiences and research results applied to the context of the southern highlands were also presented, highlighting the importance of integrating sustainable practices that improve productivity, reduce the vulnerability of agricultural systems, and strengthen the sustainability of the Royal Quinoa value chain. The development of these virtual spaces significantly expands the reach of the project's activities, facilitating access to up-to-date technical information and promoting collaboration among producers, academia, and institutions, transcending geographical limitations.
