ANCB Awards Recognition to the Institutional Work of the PROINPA Foundation

Yesterday, September 24th, in the city of La Paz, the Bolivian National Academy of Sciences awarded the PROINPA Foundation a recognition for its Institutional Trajectory, recognizing its consistent and committed work in implementing projects beneficial to the country's agricultural sector through inter-institutional efforts both domestically and abroad. These initiatives help promote the investigative spirit and scientific production of professionals in their younger generations.

The Board of Directors, Management, and Administrative and Technical Staff of the institution express our commitment and gratitude for this honorable mention. It is a source of pride to be able to contribute to the development and care of the agricultural sector, not only by proposing but also by demonstrating that a sustainable and productive reality is possible.

Likewise, there is the “Antonio Gandarillas Antezana” award for works related to valley and plain crops; the topics of the theses defended by young people must focus on research that contributes to sustainable agriculture and regenerative agriculture, also relating current agrobiodiversity and climate change.

Submissions will be accepted until August 15th of this year. Theses defended during the years 2023, 2024 and 2025 at any Bolivian public or private university are eligible. The prizes for first, second and third place in both competitions total 18000 Bs. and are supported by Anapo, WWF, Swedish Cooperation, the European Union and Swisscontact.
