AL-INVEST Verde participates in the 1st National Congress of Andean Grains

With nearly 30 scientific research projects presented, the PROINPA Foundation stood out at the 1st National Congress on Andean Grains, held at the Public University of El Alto, where innovations for sustainable and resilient agriculture related to quinoa, cañawa, amaranth, and tarwi were discussed.

The PROINPA Foundation presented nearly 30 scientific research papers at the 1st National Congress of Andean Grains, carried out on August 22 and 23 at the Public University of El Alto (UPEA), La Paz, Bolivia.

The studies focused on genetic resources and genetic improvement, production systems with an emphasis on sustainable soil management, the use of beneficial microorganisms, integrated pest management, and commercial aspects related to Andean grains.

The Congress, which brought together more than 500 participants among professionals, producers and students, sought to promote a space for the exchange of scientific knowledge, technological and innovation, as well as revalue ancestral knowledge and practices around quinoa, cañawa, amaranth and tarwi, contributing to a resilient and sustainable agriculture in harmony with the Mother Earth.

The event was organized by the Public University of El Alto (UPEA), the National Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Innovation of Bolivia (INIAF), the Camelid and Quinoa Producers (PROCAMQUI), and the National Agricultural Health and Food Safety Service (SENASAG).

PROINPA's participation was carried out within the framework of the project AL-INVEST Green: Sustainable growth of SMEs working with Royal Quinoa in Bolivia, through regenerative agriculture and a circular economy., co-financed by the European Union and led in its Component 1 by Sequa.
